This course follows the examined syllabus of the world-renowned Trinity College, London, focusing on speaking and listening skills. Each lesson covers a subject for conversation and begins with a task to introduce the language, grammar or vocabulary item. A series of linked exercises help students to improve their accuracy, use the appropriate vocabulary for the task and practise pronunciation. Listening tasks help students understand the exam questions they will hear and practise pronunciation. Typical questions and answers from the exam are regularly presented. GESE are internationally recognised examinations in spoken English. The Hong Kong English Medium of Instruction Secondary Schools Association recognises GESE Grades 4, 5, and 6 as evidence that a student's English is suitable to study in an EMI secondary school.
